For the thermal treatment of glass and quartz glass
Our lathes are used in the laboratory glass production and electronics industry, for delicate joining, forming and sealing works, in the quartz glass industry for outside calibration of heavy, long tubes as well as for joining and reshaping operations with specific appliance and machine equipment and in the fibre industry with specific machine concepts for particular process steps.
The machines excel by a sophisticated, modern and sturdy construction, absolute reliablility and high precision. Hardened and ground and therefore wearresistant dual round bar guide bed in combination with a throughout machined base.
A closed stainless steel cover protects the bed against heat radiation and soiling. Modern components guarantee an axial exactness and a playfree running of the machine concepted for use over decades. The main drive of machine grants even in the lower range of speed an exact control of spindle rotation. It is characterized by a high and steady torque. The right working head can be separated from drive by clutch.
The right working head and the burner support are guided on precision linear ball bearings. This technical complex construction guarantees the so important wear-reduced running during the continuous oscillating working method.
For our standard machine control systems – conventional relay control, PLC or industrial panel PC- we offer according to the customers’ requirements the suitable applications.
Benchtop models
This product range is designed for small and smallest work piece diameters. The extensive accessories program allows to up-grade some machine types for the fully automatised operation via industrial panel PC with up to 20 motorical axes for various forming tools and burner combinations.
Floor models
This product line with 80 to 1000 mm spindle bore is preferably used for the quartz glass processing. Depending on the desired application – “fabricating” or “resizing” – the machines are equipped with the corresponding burner and tool equipment. Center height and machine length are also customized realized.
Vertical machines
The standard delivery program includes machines with a spindle bore of 60 mm up to 260 mm with an overall height of over 9 meters in the large series. Depending upon the application – laboratory glass, quartz glass or fibre industry – machines could be completed with appropriate equipment.
Swivel-type machines
These machines are suitable for special operation and process steps. Without re-clamping the workpieces these steps could thus be accomplished horizontally and/ or vertically.

by clutch. Working spindles have plane flanges on both sides to accept chucks on the outer flanges as well. Power transfer to the working spindles via easily adjustable double roller chains.
